The Leduc/Nisku Economic Development Authority (EDA) maintains a full service business office providing business counseling, forecasting, planning and resource information to the region. The office also hosts Partnership and Team Meetings, implements Team programs, arranges special events such as Business Mixers and Conferences, hosts incoming Trade Missions and exhibits at international Tradeshows. The EDA also provides support to existing and new businesses through a wide range of dynamic economic development programs. The Authority is Canada's first accredited economic development organization, recognized internationally for its community based, community driven economic development initiatives. With the help of its volunteers, last year the Leduc/Nisku EDA participated in 236 international Tradeshows and Missions and hosted numerous return international trade delegations to market the products, services and technologies of all the companies in Alberta's International Region.
