The Education Team plays an important role in taking the businesses and industries in Alberta's International Region into international markets by facilitating export readiness, ISO certification and other training and educational programs.
The Team's mandate is to help local businesses maintain their international competitiveness by:
Helping businesses in the region access world-class learning opportunities to gain knowledge and skills
Helping companies to recruit, train and retain a highly skilled work force
Working with educational providers to meet the needs of the region's work force
Establishing the Workforce Development Program - a partnership with Alberta Human Resource and Employment, Black Gold Regional Schools and St. Thomas Aquinas Schools to establish Career Counseling Centres in nine regional schools
