Volunteer Teams - Business Attraction
Ensuring the efficient use and marketing of the land base in Alberta's International Region is the function of this important team. Working in partnership with industry, the team continues to develop the regional land inventory online to showcase current industrial, commercial and residential land available in Alberta's International Region. The objective of the Business Attraction Team is to develop and make available a publicly accessible, GIS based Internet data source that will provide an efficient and effective first point of contact for individuals and corporations interested in locating in Alberta's International Region.
Project Overview
The evolution of a website which portrays "Alberta's International Region" as a role model of regional cooperation and connectivity continues to be a work in progress. Since the fall of 2001, the EDA office has had an unprecedented number of inquiries regarding available properties, both commercial and industrial. Our website is receiving more 'hits' than ever before and the number of inquiries by email, telephone and in person is averaging 3 - 4 per week.
It is the next step in providing a regional land inventory in Alberta's International Region, who's goal is to be online, interactive and dynamic in look and feel. It is the first of its kind in Western Canada.
