Village of Warburg

Village of Warburg - Friendly Community

The Village of Warburg was originally named Varburg, a Swedish town where long-time resident Albin Benson was born, now deceased.  The name was later changed to Warburg to accomodate English pronunciation.  Residents today maintain open communication with the German community of Warburg, on the Rhine River, a link which will hopefully develop into an exchange program in the future.

The Village of Warburg has several recreational facilities: artificial ice arena, curling rink, baseball diamonds, rodeo grounds and racetrack. There are public and private campgrounds in the area, as well as a beautiful Provincial Park close by.  This village is a progressive community with a strong desire to grow, yet retaining its small town atmosphere."

Warburg is a well-located, modern village with great urban facilities and a positive outlook on the future.  It retains its small-town charm and atmosphere while pursuing a progressive profile as a centre of business and transportation.
