This sector is always in search of highly-skilled engineers and engineering technicians to help maintain the current workforce. Several universities in the region are home to progressive Engineering programs which have an active-enrollment policy.
With the price of oil nearing an all-time high, chemical engineers are in great demand as new projects get underway to take advantage of the booming oil industry. Massive growth is the direct result of some of the immense projects being undertaken here in Alberta's International Region. Individuals who can help municipalities capitalize on that growth are in high demand.
