The Retail and Commercial Services sector is a vital part of Alberta's International Region.  Retail companies provide for the every-day needs of consumers in the region, including clothing retailers; department, discount, and variety stores; supermarkets and convenience stores; consumer electronics and home furnishings retailers; building materials and auto parts retailers and wholesalers.  Alberta's International region has a healthy retail presence but there is always room for growth!

Retail and Commercial growth is set for massive expansion in the near future, with over $2.4 billion in new major-projects getting underway in Alberta.  Another $2.0 billion will be spent on new major projects under the Commercial/Retail sector in residential areas, providing residents with ample services and selection.
